This year’s HKK Bionics Christmas party took us to a very special place – the Wilhelmsburg in Ulm, which is not only our company headquarters but also an impressive historical landmark. The evening offered us an exciting mix of history, team spirit and culinary delights.
A journey through the history of Wilhelmsburg.
At the beginning of the celebration, we were allowed to explore the undeveloped parts of Wilhelmsburg. During an exclusive guided tour, we discovered different floors and learned a lot about the castle’s eventful history. Wilhelmsburg Castle, as part of Ulm Fortress, has seen many different uses over the past decades – from a military base to its current function as a cultural and event venue. These stories came to life at the historical sites and we had the opportunity to admire the impressive architecture of the fortress up close.
A place full of inspiration
For us as a team, it was inspiring to experience the history of Wilhelmsburg, which is just as innovative and changeable in its development as our work at HKK Bionics. The combination of past and present reminded us how important it is to create something new from what already exists – an idea that can also be felt in our products.
Culinary finale in the theater rooms
After the historical exploration, we moved to the castle’s converted theater rooms, where a cozy raclette buffet and delicious drinks awaited us. By candlelight and in a festive atmosphere, we reviewed the year, swapped stories and made plans for the coming year. It was an evening full of team spirit, good conversations and shared moments.

The 2024 Christmas party was not only a wonderful way to end the year, but also an opportunity to come together as a team and celebrate our successes. Together, we can look back on an exciting year and look forward to continuing to create innovative solutions in the new year that will improve the lives of many people.
