We, HKK Bionics GmbH, are a multi-award-winning medtech startup based in Ulm. With the exomotion® hand one, we have developed the first motorized hand orthosis of its kind, enabling people with completely paralyzed hands to grasp objects again. We are looking for a full-time Design Engineer for Bionic Orthoses (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

Your Responsibilities

• Design of state-of-the-art orthoses based on customer orders
• Optimization of design processes
• Collaboration in the development of state-of-the-art orthotic systems
• Operation of the FDM printer for prototyping

Requirements for you

• A completed technical vocational education, such as a bachelor’s degree, a technical degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, medical technology, lightweight construction, etc.), or vocational training combined with professional experience (e.g., technical draftsman/woman, product designer, etc.)
• Experience in parametric and/or organic design
• Creativity and the ability to think outside the box
• A passion for professional and personal challenges
• The ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong communication skills and a sense of humor
